Organization of CBFL Camps

A total of 10 CBFL residential camps were organised by SRC, Indore. The details of these camps are as below:

CBFL Camps - Katni
In Katni Block of Katni District, the camp was conducted from 22nd Dec.2011 to 5th Feb.2012.  Majority of the participants completed 3rd Primer and their progress was satisfactory.  A vocational course on "Embroidery & Beauty Culture" was run in which all the participants were trained.  District and Block level Government and Non-Government Officials visited the camp on regular basis.  Visits of the participants were made to Bank and Post-Office.  A rally was taken out by all the participants to disseminate the message of "SBP".  Guest faculties regularly taken sessions on health, nutrition, police system, bank procedures, SHGs, etc.  Life skills education, personality development, Yoga and recreational activities were also run simultaneously with the academic and vocational activities.  Closing ceremony of  the camp was chaired by the Hon'ble District Collector. Certificates were presented to all the participants.

CBFL Camps - Seondha
In Seondha Block of Datia Ditrict, the camp was conducted from 28.Dec.2011 to 10 Feb.2012. The camp was organised at KGBV in collaboration with Zila Lok Shiksha Samiti.  The District Administration provided all the support for organising the camp.   Maximum no.of participants completed 3rd Primer and the progress was satisfactory.  A vocational course on "ready-made garment making" was run in which all the participants were trained.  Three visits of the participants were made to Police Station, Bank and Post Office.  Yoga, life skills education, personality development and recreational activities were also run simultaneously with the academic and vocational activities.  Certificates were presented to all the participants.

CBFL Camps - Khargone
The first camp in Khargone Block of Khargone District was conducted from 5th Jan.2012 to 22nd Feb.2012. Majority of the participants completed 3rd Primer and their progress was satisfactory.   A vocational course on "Tailoring, Embroidery & Beauty Culture" was run in which all the participants were trained.  District and Block level Government and Non-Government Officials regularly visited the camp.  Visits of the participants were made to Bank, Post-Office, Police Station and Health Department.  Guest faculties have regularly taken sessions on life skills education, health, nutrition, police system, bank procedures, SHGs etc.  Yoga, personality development and recreational activities were are also run simultaneously with the academic and vocational activities.  On 17th January, 2012, Shri S.P.S.Sangwan, Chief Consultant, NLM visited the camp and interacted with the participants. Certificates were presented to all the participants.

CBFL Camps - Mandla
         In Mandla Block of Mandla District, the camp was conducted from 10th Jan 2012 to 23rd Feb.2012.  Out of a total 40 girl participants, maximum belong to "Bega" tribal community. Majority of the participants completed 3rd primer and their progress was satisfactory.  A vocational course on "Cutting, Tailoring & Embroidery" was run in which all the participants were being trained.  Teachers who were trained by SRC on life-skills, conducted sessions on life-skills at the camp. District and Block level Government and Non-Government Officials regularly visited the camp.  Visits of the participants were made to Bank and Narmada river and a temple.  Life skills education, personality development, Yoga and recreational activities were also run simultaneously with the academic and vocational activities.  Certificates were presented to all the participants.

CBFL Camps - Nainpur
         In Nainpur Block of Mandla District, the camp was conducted from 11th Jan 2012 to 24th Feb.2012. Out of a total 40 girl participants, maximum belong to SC/ST community. Majority of the participants completed 3rd Primer and their progress was satisfactory.  A vocational course on "Cutting, Tailoring & Embroidery" was run in which all the participants were being trained.  Teachers who were trained by SRC on life-skills, conducted sessions on life-skills at the camp. District and Block level Government and Non-Government Officials regularly visited the camp.  Visits of the participants were made to Bank and Post-Office.  Life skills education, personality development, Yoga and recreational activities were also run simultaneously with the academic and vocational activities. Certificates were presented to all the participants.

CBFL Camps - Khargone
      The second camp in Khargone Block of Khargone District was conducted from 20th Jan to 5th March 2012.  Majority of the participants completed 3rd Primer and their progress is satisfactory.  A vocational course on "Tailoring, Embroidery & Beauty Culture" was run in which all the participants were trained.  District and Block level Government and Non-Government Officials regularly visited the camp.  Visits of the participants were made to Bank, Post-Office, Police Station and Health Department.  Guest faculties took sessions on health, nutrition, police system, bank procedures, SHGs, etc.  Yoga, personality development and recreational activities were also run simultaneously with the academic and vocational activities.

CBFL Camps - Kattiwada
In Kattiwada Block of Alirajpur District, the non-residential, day-camp was conducted from 6th Feb.2012 to 26th March 2012.  All the 40 girl participants belonged to "Basod" (SC) community. All the participants completed 3rd Primer and their progress was satisfactory.  A vocational course on "Tailoring, Embroidery & Beauty Culture" was run in which all the participants were trained.  District and Block level Government and Non-Government Officials regularly visited the camp.  Guest faculties took sessions on life skills education, health, nutrition, police system, bank procedures, SHGs, etc.  Personality development and recreational activities were also run simultaneously with the academic and vocational activities.
   

CBFL Camps - Pipariya
      The second camp in Pipariya Panchayat of Katni Block of Katni District (residential) was conducted from 8th Feb to 23rd March 2012.  All the participants belonged to Muslim community.  All of them completed 3rd Primer and their progress was satisfactory.  A vocational course on "Tailoring, Embroidery & Beauty Culture" was run in which all the participants were trained.  District and Block level Government and Non-Government Officials regularly visited the camp.  Visits of the participants were made to Bank, Post-Office, Police Station and Health Department.  Guest faculties regularly took sessions on life skills education, health, nutrition, police system, bank procedures, SHGs, etc.  Yoga, personality development and recreational activities were also run simultaneously with the academic and vocational activities.

CBFL Camps - Datia
The second camp in Datia Block of Datia District was conducted from 17th Feb to 1st April 2012.  The group was mixed with participants from all kinds of communities.  All the participants completed 3rd primer and their progress was satisfactory.  A vocational course on "Cutting-Tailoring, Mehendi, Beauty Culture" was run in which all the participants were trained.  District and Block level Government and Non-Government Officials regularly visitied the camp.  Yoga, personality development and recreational activities were also run simultaneously with the academic and vocational activities.
   
   

CBFL Camps - Mandsaur
In Mandsaur Block of Mandsaur District, non-residential day-camp was conducted from 13th Feb. 2012 to 1st week of April.  All the 40 girl participants belonged to "Bachda" community, majority of whom are professional sex-workers and are deprived of their formal education.  All the participants completed 3rd Primer and their progress was satisfactory.  A vocational course on "Beauty Culture" was run in which all the participants were trained.  Guest faculties took sessions on life skills education, health, nutrition, police system, bank procedures, SHGs, STDs/RTIs, etc.  Personality development and recreational activities were also run simultaneously with the academic and vocational activities.
